El Campo, Texas defensive tackle prospect Joey Hunt (6-3, 281) earned 23-4A Defensive MVP honors for his play at defensive tackle and first-team all-district for his play on the offensive line.

He has been a name on college radars for a while now and when he had time he tried to check out as many colleges as he could this fall. While helping guide the El Campo Ricebirds to district title and a 9-1 overall record, he was also able to make unofficial visits to TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Rice, Houston and attended the Red River Rivalry as a guest of the Oklahoma Sooners.
