Joe Gibson had several chances to sign a letter of intent on signing day. College recruiters took notice to his ability. Playing at a highly visible school like Rockhurst, a 6-foot-4, 300 pound lineman doesn't go unnoticed.

Gisbon took an official visit to Western Michigan, Idaho, and Penn. He also had many other scholarship offers but has decided he might walk on at a local school.

On Monday he made the short drive to Lawrence to visit with the Kansas coaches.
