Rice to fill mother lode recruiting class for VU

VandySports.com The future is now for Vanderbilt's men's basketball program. In more ways than one.
As head coach Kevin Stallings enters his eighth season at the helm of the Commodore program, there is little doubt that this next season will be a crucial one for his tenure at the Nashville school. After taking over for former Vanderbilt player Jan van Breda Kolff, hopes were high that Stallings could take VU to levels the program had never been before.
That has not yet happened. Stallings' VU teams reached the NCAA Tournament just once in the last seven seasons, falling in the round of 16 to eventual national champion UConn two years ago.
