SoCal QB is a record setter

Rivals.com Football Recruiting If there is one thing you can count on from the Golden State year in and year out is golden arm, golden boys who can play quarterback on the D-I level and this year is no different. One of the golden arm, golden boys to keep your eye on is Tanner Rust (6-3, 190, 4.8) from Lakeside (Calif.) El Capitan.
Rust earned all-league, all-CIF San Diego Section, all-academic and all-state as a junior after throwing for approximately 3,100 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also scored five rushing touchdown on roughly 170 yards.
In one game last fall, Rust was nothing short of spectacular when he threw for a San Diego section single game record of 597 yards and his seven touchdown passes tied the San Diego Section single game record.
An outstanding all-around athlete, Rust is also a recruit as a baseball player. He's a catcher, who also plays third and shortstop while batting a nifty .408 as a sophomore. He earned first-team all-league utility player for his performance.
