SOPHOMORE SEASON (2003-04): Played in 26 games and earned one start during the season...made first career start in sixth game of the season versus DePaul and responded with 10 points (then a career-best and the first 10-plus point outing of his career) and five rebounds, while playing a then career-high 16 minutes...netted all 10 of his points in the first half as he converted 4-6 shots from the field...averaged 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game in final four games of the season...played 20-plus minutes in three of the final four games...registered back-to-back career-high performance against Connecticut and Purdue...played 24 minutes against the Huskies and scored 15 points as he connected on 5-6 shots from the field and was 5-6 from the free-throw line...followed that performance with a career-high 16-point outing against Purdue in first-round game of the National Invitation Tournament as finished 4-7 from the field and a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe (both personal bests)...played 18 minutes and scored seven points against Saint Louis in second round of NIT and ended the season with nine points and a career-high 10 rebounds against Oregon...led the Irish in rounding in two games -- versus Connecticut on road and Oregon at home...played 10-plus minutes in 12 of the final 13 games of the season...in win over Georgetown, played a then career-high 18 minutes off the bench and registered six points and eight rebounds...in regular-season finale against St. John's, grabbed nine rebounds...saw action in 15 minutes off the bench in win over Connecticut at the Joyce Center and finished with six points and seven rebounds...scored eight points off the bench in win at Syracuse as hit 4-5 shots from the field...missed the American, Quinnipiac and Morehead State after suffering a sprained right foot in practice following the December 14 outing against DePaul...also did not play in away game at Pittsburgh and home games against Kentucky and Miami...after missing those three games, returned to Irish lineup against West Virginia...netted all 10 of his points in the first half as he converted on 4-6 shots from the field... saw a then season-high 15 minutes in the second game of the season versus Mount St. Mary's and finished with four points and four rebounds...named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2002-03): Came off the bench in his rookie season and saw action in 12 games...averaged 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds...played a personal best 12 minutes versus Canisius and equalled his personal best with six points...scored a career-high six points in win over Albany and grabbed two rebounds in eight minutes of action...played 11 minutes and scored four points in win over Belmont...also finished with four points in IUPUI game...scored four points in five minutes off the bench against DePaul...had two blocked shots against Furman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Completed stellar four-year career at Homewood Christian Academy by leading team to three consecutive Association of Christian Schools International (A.C.S.I.) state championships from 2000-02 and consecutive third-place finishes in '01 and '02 at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes National Invitational... finished career with 2,488 career points and grabbed 1,788 rebounds...averaged 21.0 points and 14.0 rebounds during his final prep seasons...led Homewood Christian Academy to 118-25 four-year record...also averaged double figures in both scoring and rebounding, with averages of 17.9 points and 12.0 rebounds and 20.3 points and 14.0 rebounds during his junior and sophomore seasons, respectively...two-time all-state selection...led his '01 Illinois Warrior team to the 17-and-under AAU national championship...also a member of that team was current teammate Colin Falls...named to the '02 all-tournament team at FCA National Tournament...two-time participant at Nike All-America Camp...a Wendy's High School Heisman honoree...member of gold-medal team in June of '01, playing for the North squad at the USA Basketball Development Festival Tournament, a championship which included 46 of the best high school players in the country...three-time MVP of Grace Baptist Tournament and two-time MVP of South Haven Christian Tournament...teamed with current Irish freshman Chris Quinn in leading the Team 7-UP Ohio squad to the championship of the Junior International Tournament in Milan, Italy (spring of 2002)...he and Chris Quinn also played in the Jordan Brand Capital Classic in Washington, D.C...participated in the Wendy's All-Star Shootout...had his number 11 jersey retired at Homewood Christian Academy on March 15, 2002.
