I think Hearsh was trying to point out there are contingent offers. KU got a stud running back this year with a lot of good offers, one was Florida. I doubt he was Florida's top RB on the board. I would guess he was Florida's 4th RB and they were taking maybe two? K-State is not at a place (right now) where they are getting recruits that turn down KU or MU,etc.

If that was the case, why did KSU get some big time recruits with more big time offers? For instance, Bullman turned down Ohio State for KSU. Marvin Simmons turned down USC for KSU. Same for thing happens at any other school. Recruits choose a schools for a variety of reasons including it being close to home, it being far away from home, because their brother went there, because their brother doesn't go there, assistant coaches, facilities, chance to play early, chance to learn under an established player, and on and on and on.
Right or wrong (and a completely separate topic that I don't want to dive in to) I know a player was offered by KU and declined it because he and his family didn't want him to play for an obese coach. To them, it showed lack of discipline. Ron Prince got recruits because he was black. Ron Prince missed on recruits because he was black.
KSU has multiple recruits this year w/ offers from Kansas that are either committed to KSU or are a KSU lean. Likewise, in the early 2000's, KU got some commits that had offers from KSU when KSU was much more substantially ahead of KU than KU is ahead of KSU now.
You either don't understand recruiting, can't see through your own bias, or both if you actually believe the words you wrote quoted above.

Seems pretty obvious I was saying KSU never was on OSU or USC's perceived level as a program and that KSU was getting commitments from guys at the top of their board. It further reiterates my point that "state of the program" is one of a long list of factors and it matters a lot to some and not at all to others. To say KSU can't get recruits that would have offers from MU and KU is stupid. With that logic the same could have been said of OSU and KSU 5 years ago. It wasn't true then and it isn't true now.

10-15 years ago K-State got some good players. But, that was with Mangino and Stoops recruiting (for KSU). I don't think BS and KSU can recruit without asst. coaches like Mangino, Stoops, etc. (That was a once in a lifetime for KSU) Now K-State must recruit kids that were five years old when Mangino and Stoops coached there. In his last two years Snyder ended LAST place. It's going to be damn near impossible to catch lightning in a bottle again(Mangino, Stoops, Leach and Leavit) Even with great asst. coaches BS got ONE conference championship in 17 years. Now with a decent staff it's going to be the same old thing (excitement from beating Arizona for a recruit) The bar just isn't that high at KSU. Imagine if KU BB won ONE conference championship in 17 years.
Would KU Fans call the coach a legend?
The schools are just on two different levels.
The mentality is different .

You started a thread to get "hater's" reactions to the the progress Snyder has made and ended it with, "Anyway, the two biggest "reasons" sited for Bill Snyder not succeeding seem to be diminishing by the day. How to the haters see it?" If you're not beating your chest, you're at least trying to bring attention to what Snyder is doing on the recruiting trail. Call it what you want.
For the most part, you're getting two kinds of recruits right now: 1)Kids with academic hurdles and 2)recruits other big 12 teams have passed on. Your dream team of coaches has yet to go head to head with another big 12 school and win a recruiting battle. I realize recruiting is somewhat of a crapshoot, but there's still a fairly high correlation between recruiting rankings and actual results.
Please provide a list of these players that have offers from KU that are either committed to KSU or are a heavy KSU lean. Feel free to include Ferguson if you'd like, but he hasn't had a KU offer for around three months.
