Man... you guys are conservative with your teams. USC, Texas, Florida, etc.... I picked UNC so I could build the program up and actually have a bit of a challenge. I don't know... to each his own I guess.

there is a lot of joy in taking a non top program and building them into a winner but when people are taking the top teams you have to be able to compete from year one. I am not exactly sure of the age/life situation profile of everyone in our league but I am guessing we have a few college guys...that means lots of free time to play the game. I have played 2 games in '10 so far so by the time we are going to start playing I will be far from skilled on the sticks that basically gives you little chance against a team like florida if you have a lesser team and less time on the game. I think it would be cool and maybe this could be a second league, if we had a league with restrictions either no major conference teams or no ranked teams or teams from florida, texas or cali...someway that you are taking wyoming or central michigan, that would make recruiting a lot more challenging and it woudl be interesting to see to what extent we could make it to the big bowl games. UNC, with Butch Davis is extremely talented, its not like you picked Idaho or something

North Carolina is ranked 16th so its definately not like they are a cellar dweller. And in last years dynasty I think I had 11th pick or something like that and picked Misery. They were far from top notch.

Oh, it's cool. UNC is a 4-star program, though, so I can still build them up. They've got talent, but they're not just stacked from top to bottom like Florida, Texas, USC, etc. In my other league, there's a few teams like North Texas and Buffalo. Just makes it more interesting, in my opinion.

I'm sure it's too late but it would have been nice if we could have made a super conference with USC and OSU in the same conference. It seems a bit unfair to have 3 ACC and SEC teams, 2 Big 12 teams and then give USC and OSU a default conference championship every year.

True... that's what happened in the first year of our dynasty last season. I went 14-0 in the SEC with Alabama, and ended up not playing in the BCS title game because USC went undefeated in its conference without playing any user vs. user games.

I think we should do an automatic 3 days no matter what. Like the day he advances it. Put a message saying it will advance at midnight on so and so date. For example if advanced today, it would say advanced 7/31 at midnight. If you complete it, awesome. if not, then you will be put on auto pilot and it will be simmed for you.

i am cool with that as long as we have the flexibility to modify for bowl games and other special circumstances but for games vs. the computer that is more then fair.
right now, usc is better off being simmed then under my control. last night in my ku dynasty I had a 24 point lead on ISu at half and had to hang on for the win. part of that is me kind of sucking right now then there is also that dang sportsmanship warning if you pass or run the option when you are up big. basically stops you from playing...once you shut it down it is hard to turn it back on.

I think theres one spot left in the dynasty. We have yet to finish week one of the season so now is a great time to join.
I would suggest that we make it a rule that any newcomers to the dynasty must either pick a Pac 10 or Big 10 team to balance out the conferences.

Hey, guys. I got the game in the mail last night, so I'm ready to go. Would it be a huge deal if I had the commissioner sim my games for the first few weeks? I've never played on Heisman level before, and I know it took me a while to adjust to All-American on the last dynasty. I'm no threat to anyone's national title hopes - just ask the guys from last year.

i think it is pretty likely that we all might drop a game or two to the cpu this year. The only thing I woudl say Chili is that pre-season games are probably going to be your easiest so it might be best to work out the kinks against teams that will not be able to hang with you

droll313 talking- I watched that game. While everyone here wants to win and be competitive. This is a Slant dynasty and we should all be men about this and play the game right. Im not directing this at you BMW, this is for everyone. I dont think we should be allowed restarts vs the computer either. If you lose to them, man up and lose to them. It very well could happen to any of us as the damn sportsmanship crap gets me every time and brings the computer back every time.

What is this sportsmanship thing you guys are talking about? Is that new this year?
I dont think it has happened yet this year. But it did last year. And the commish should throw out the results and just sim it himself.
The sportsmanship thing is some stupid points thing that says if your blowing a team out, you should run the ball every single play even if it is like 3 and 12. If you pass in the 4th quarter with a big lead you will get like -50 points. I always try and have good points but Ive been close to losing games because of it. SO now I try not to pay attention to it.
