Crist sees offer rise to four

Quarterback Dayne Crist (6-5, 225, 4.65) from Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame has come out of the box with four early offers making a good case that Crist may be the most wanted gun slinger from the Golden State for the class of 2008.

Crist currently holds offers from Duke, Minnesota, LSU and his latest offer from Norte Dame. He has been to junior days at both local schools, UCLA and USC while being heavily recruited by the entire Pac 10.

Notre Dame Coach Kevin Rooney has a pretty good idea why his signal caller is so highly coveted by major football programs from across the country.

"Dayne as a great arm," Rooney said. "He has great size 6-foot-5, 225 and he's very athletic. He has good quickness and speed for his size.
