Georgia CB has Auburn in top two
Creekside (Fairburn, Ga.) cornerback Joshua Holsey visited Auburn Thursday, his second trip to the Plains, and must have liked what he saw. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Holsey left the visit with the Tigers as one of his top two choices.
“It went great. I had a really good time,” said Holsey. “I saw everything again and liked it a lot. Auburn is now in my top two.”
Holsey said the Tigers join Virginia Tech at the top of his list. He has offers from both schools along with ones from Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Louisville, N.C. State, Virginia and Maryland, among others.
“I really like Auburn,” he said. “I really liked my visit. I got there Thursday afternoon and my mom and me went out to eat and then I hung out with some of the players.”
Early the next morning, Holsey watched as Auburn practiced for the second time of the spring.
“It was nice. It was a cool practice,” he said. “I liked watching it. I followed the cornerbacks around and watched them.”
During his visit, Holsey met with several of the Tigers’ coaches including recruiter Trooper Taylor, cornerbacks coach Phillip Lolley and head man Gene Chizik.
