Eagles continue to work in Virginia

Boston College is one of five schools that has offered Kwamane Bowens, a junior receiver out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem, and you can bet more offers will be coming in.

That's because Bowens is widely regarded as one of the best, most athletic wide outs in the region and he's making a push to be ranked among the top prospects in Virginia next year.

Virginia Tech has offered, though UVa has not, and Bowens hasn't visited either of those schools yet.

Does he have any visit plans down the road?

"I'm not really sure," Bowens said. "I think I'm really just going to plan those when the spring comes closer."

It's still unclear whether Bowens will be making it to BC at the end of the month but whether he does or doesn't then he wants to before he makes his decision.

"I really don't know too much about Boston College yet but the coach said he would really start letting me know what they're all about soon," he explained.

Is location something that would work against the Eagles and does Bowens favor the in-state schools?

"I really don't have any favorites," he noted. "I really don't think location will matter. Just as long as I can play football."

Bowens said Virginia Tech was the first school to offer and that verbal offer came during his sophomore year at Salem. All of the others, including the offer from Boston College, came during his junior year.

What's he looking for in a school?

"Just a great relationship with the coaching staff and a great campus lifestyle," he concluded.
