Coach talks Christian pledge

For McKeesport (Pa.) linebacker Hodari Christian his decision to end his recruitment and commit to West Virginia came down to comfort level according to his head coach Jim Ward.

"I think that was real, real important," he said. "He also had a comfort level with Pittsburgh, but with West Virginia there was just something a little different about it. I think he wanted to get further away from home and Steve Dunlap did an outstanding job recruiting him. And when he went down there and met the rest of the staff he felt at home."

Christian is currently around 6-foot, 215-pounds, but his coach expects him to play at around 235-pounds once he gets in a college weight program.
