2007 signee ready for action

Running back Jared Flannel is one of the more intriguing prospects of Texas Tech's 2007 class. Flannel has the look of a big time back, and his talent is undeniable. However, he was likely undervalued during the recruiting process due to playing most of his senior campaign with a nagging injury, making it difficult to get a read on just how good he really was. "I liked everything I saw," said an obviously excited Flannel. "I knew what I was coming to see and I saw it all, the offense, how I would fit in, all those things. It was also great just to get out here and meet other recruits too. I met Tramain Swindall, Mickey Okafor, and then some juniors too. I met the Thompson guy from The Woodlands (Brandon Thompson), Harrison Jeffers, and Keanon Cooper from Skyline too. They were all really cool guys."
