2019 guard Markese Jacobs picks the Jayhawks

Late Night has paid off in a quick way and for the future. After visiting Late Night 2019 prospect Markese Jacobs announced he has committed to the Jayhawks.

“After long thought and consideration and during the early stages of the recruiting process I’m glad to announce that I’m committing to the University of Kansas,” Jacobs said.

Jacobs, a point guard from Uplift Community High School in Illinois, had a Kansas offer before the Late Night visit.

“I would like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play basketball, my family for always being there for me when I needed them, the coaches who recruited me, and everyone who has helped me get to this point in life,” he added on Twitter.

Jacobs is the first commitment for Bill Self in the 2019 class. Jerrance Howard was the lead recruiter for Jacobs.

We will have much more on Jacobs commitment in the upcoming hours.
