Kansas State: The Facts
Located in Manhattan, Kan., with an enrollment of 23,566, No. 13/15 Kansas State is 19-4 (8-2 Big 12) on the season and has won four-straight games. The Wildcats are coached by Bruce Weber who is 19-4 in his first season at KSU and 332-159 in his 15th season overall. In 2012-13, Kansas State is 13-1 at home, 5-1 in road games and 1-2 on neutral courts.
The Wildcats average 68.8 points per game and give up 58.3 for a +10.4 scoring margin. KSU leads the Big 12 in scoring defense (58.3), rebounding defense (31.8), turnover margin (+2.7) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.3). Kansas State ranks second in the league in three-point field goal percentage (35.5) and assists (15.7).

Junior guard Will Spradling is tied with McGruder with 35 three-pointers and averages 8.3 points per game. He is second on the team with 66 assists and is making 86.4 percent of his free throws. Junior guard Shane Southwell has started 14 games and averages 7.9 points per outing. Sophomore forward Thomas Gipson has 13 starts; he averages 7.8 points per game and leads KSU on the glass with a 5.5 rebound per game average, just ahead of McGruder's 5.3 rpg.
Senior forward Jordan Henriquez has a team-high 39 blocked shots in 2012-13 to complement his 4.7 scoring and 4.2 rebound averages. Other KSU regulars include sophomore forward Adrian Diaz (3.6 ppg), senior guard Martavious Irving (5.0 ppg), freshman forward D.J. Johnson (2.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg) and junior guard Omari Lawrence (2.6 ppg).
Kansas vs. Kansas State: The Series
This series between Kansas and Oklahoma dates back to 1920 when both schools were members of the Missouri Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Association and Kansas leads, 139-64. Since 2006, the Jayhawks have won 10-straight against the Sooners. Kansas is 49-40 against Oklahoma in games played in Norman, Okla., and holds a 17-15 edge in contests in Lloyd Noble Center. Kansas has won the last four meetings against OU in Lloyd Noble dating back to the 2007 season.
Since the inception of the Big 12 Conference, Kansas is 18-4 against Oklahoma; 16-2 in regular-season play and 2-2 in the Big 12 Championship. Kansas head coach Bill Self is 11-3 all-time against Oklahoma, including 11-1 while at KU. Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger is 5-13 versus Kansas, including 0-3 while at OU.
Earlier this season, Kansas defeated Oklahoma 67-54 on Jan. 26 in Allen Fieldhouse. KU led 29-21 at halftime and was up by 15 points with just over five minutes to play. KU's Ben McLemore led all scorers with 18 points, while Jeff Withey just missed a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. With the win, the Jayhawks improved to 18-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference play. OU's Amath M'Baye and Romero Osby each scored 12 points to pace the Sooners.
