Five-Star PG Trae Young sets Kansas visit

On Wednesday afternoon, five-star point guard Trae Young took to Twitter to announce his highly anticipated official visit schedule.

Just minutes ago, Trae Young, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound point guard from North High School in Norman, Okla., took a giant step forward in his recruitment. Recently, Young, the No. 14 ranked player in the 2017 class, narrowed his list of schools down to Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Washington.

Young, one of the nation's top prospects in the 2017 class, will officially visit Oklahoma (9/16), Texas Tech (9/29), Kentucky (10/14) and Kansas (10/21). According to his update on Twitter, visits to Oklahoma State and Washington are to be determined.

It's widely believed that Kansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma are the frontrunners for Young, one of the top performers on the AAU circuit this past spring and summer while playing for MoKan Elite.

In fact, Young was so impressive that Rivals.com National Analyst Bossi tabbed the elite floor general the MVP for the first July live period.

"Five-star point guard Trae Young had an incredible Peach Jam, leading MoKan Elite to a championship and earning Rivals.com's MVP for the first July live period," said Bossi. "Young leads a loaded list of 12 that made our All-First Live Period Team.

"A five-star prospect who ranks No. 14 overall in the class of 2017, Trae Young was electric at the Peach Jam," he added. "He shot over 50 percent from the field while averaging 27 points and 7.3 assists as he led MoKan Elite to an 8-0 record and the title at the most competitive tournament in grassroots basketball."
