If there was one lineman in the 2024 class who had a close connection with Scott Fuchs, it was Harrison Utley.

Utley, who is from Norman, Oklahoma, committed to the Jayhawks last June and was offered by Fuchs in January of 2023. Utley grew close with Fuchs and met with during several visits to Lawrence.

When he got the news on Friday it came as a surprise that Fuchs was headed to the NFL to coach for the Tennessee Titans.
