It didn't take long for fans of the University of Kansas men's basketball program to take a sincere liking to Ben McLemore. A relative unknown for much of his prep career, the 6-foot-5, 185-pound shooting guard from Eskridge High School in St. Louis, Mo., burst onto the national scene near the end of his junior season, and shortly thereafter, made it clear Kansas was, and still is, the team to beat in his recruitment.
