Kansas will host surprise juco recruits

Official visitors weren't expected in Lawrence this weekend.
Soon after the announcement came that Kansas head coach Mark Mangino had resigned, many of the recruits delayed their plans on taking visits. It made a lot of sense that recruits would not take their official trips without a head coach for the program.
But junior college signing day is just 10 days away and valuable time will be slipping away. The Kansas staff was targeting a select number of junior college players and they couldn't afford to waste this time.
Mount SAC cornerback Malcolm Murray said he and two of his teammates will visit Lawrence this weekend after they play a game on Saturday.
Kansas athletics director Lew Perkins named David Beaty, Clint Bowen, and Bill Miller interim coaches while the search continues.
