The Jayhawks were well-represented over the last few days at The Opening.

The event was held in Oregon and features the top 166 high school players in the country. Both Devonta "Whop" Jason and Corione Harris were selected to participate in the event.

Whop and Harris are both highly-recruited prospects from powerhouse Landry-Walker High School in New Orleans. They committed to Kansas on their visit together in February.

The word out of Oregon is both players performed well and lived up to their rankings.

Jason is a wide receiver who recently earned his fifth star in the latest Rivals.com rankings. Harris, a high four-star defensive back, had some nice pass break-ups at The Opening.

It is a four-day event where players compete against each other and also get instruction from NFL and former pro players. Harris posted a photo next to Richard Sherman on his Twitter account.

The Jayhawks are off to a fast start in the 2018 class with 13 commitments. Whop and Harris are the two highest-rated on the list and have pushed the Kansas class into the Top 20 in the national rankings.
