For the fourth time in the Bill Self era, Kansas has started with at least an 8-0 record to start the season. The Jayhawks did so by defeating nationally ranked and previously unbeaten Memphis, 81-68, on Tuesday night.

Game Notes
-Kansas F Thomas Robinson led KU on the boards with 10, including eight caroms in just 11 minutes in the first half. Robinson's 10 rebounds marked his third double-figure rebounding game of the season and fourth of his career.
-Robinson added 10 points in the win, giving him his first double-double of the season and second of his career.
-The Jayhawks shot 57.1 percent from the free throw line Tuesday night, which was its lowest percentage since shooting 53.3 percent from the line against UCLA in their last outing. KU has made just 27-of-49 free throws in its last two games combined, good for 55.1 percent.
-Kansas F Markieff Morris led the Jayhawks with 16 points in the win. The 16 points marked his sixth double-figure scoring game of the season and 15th of his career.
-Markieff Morris scored eight of his points off of dunks, including two on alley-oop plays.
-Kansas G Tyshawn Taylor had a solid outing in his homecoming game with 13 points and four assists. Taylor, who hails from nearby Hoboken, N.J., scored four key points in the closing minutes of the first half to ensure a Kansas lead at the break.
-Taylor's 13 points marked his fourth double-figure scoring outing of the season and the 32nd in his career.
-Jayhawk F Marcus Morris turned in 14 points, marking his 11th-straight double-figure scoring game. Morris has scored 10 or more points in every game since a two-point outing versus Texas A&M (3-12-10).
-Marcus Morris recorded a season-high five assists. He previousloy dished four in a win over Valparaiso (11-15-10).
-KU G Elijah Johnson tied a career-high with 21 minutes. He also played 21 minutes versus Alcorn State (12-2-09).
-The Jayhawks committed 22 turnovers, with 12 coming in the first half. Memphis recorded an opponent high 14 steals in the game, converting them into 29 v points.
