Maker to attend KUs season opener

It looks like Kansas is back in the hunt for five-star center Thon Maker. The elite big man will be on hand for KU's season opener on Friday night.
In recent interviews, Kansas hadn't been mentioned as a player for Thon Maker, the 7-foot-0, 210-pound center from Orangeville Prep in Mono, Ontario. However, on Thursday night, that all changed.

While appearing on national television, Maker, a five-star prospect, indicated that Kansas is one of the schools recruiting him the hardest. Just moments ago, Jayhawk Slant got word that Maker will be on hand for KU's season opener against Northern Colorado on Friday night.
In all, Maker, while on ESPNU, mentioned Arizona State, Kansas, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Indiana, and St. John's as the schools recruiting him the hardest.
