Redden down to two teams

The recruiting for Terry Redden may be going down to the wire. This past weekend Redden took an official visit to Lawrence to check out the Kansas football program.
Redden, rated among the nation's top 35 defensive tackles, returned home Sunday afternoon and has been thinking about his future. Rodney Saulsberry, the head coach at Whitehaven says Redden is still thinking things over.

"He said he had a good visit," Saulsberry said. "I think the fact he hasn't made a final decision means he's thinking about everything. It is a two team race between Memphis and Kansas."
It is believed the Jayhawks may have one scholarship left and Redden could put an exclamation mark on a solid class under Turner Gill. The Jayhawks class is currently ranked 33rd in the country and they have been searching for a defensive tackle.
"He knows he wants to be a better player and he's got great work ethic," Saulsberry said of Redden. "He plays with tenacity and violence. That's how you have to play because football is a violent sport. He's a great kid and comes from a great family."
The lead recruiter for Kansas is Carl Torbush, the Jayhawks defensive coordinator. Torbush is no stranger to the Tennessee area.
"I've known coach Torbush for a long time," Saulsberry said. "Last year he recruited one of our linebackers when he was at Mississippi State. He's been recruiting Terry for a while."
Redden has been talking things over with his family. Saulsberry said in the end Redden will make the decision on his future.
"I think he's going to decide pretty quick," Saulsberry said.
