OVERVIEW:

Noah Shelby joined the Kansas team as a preferred walk-on in June 2024. From McKinney Texas, Shelby is a transfer from Rice who will be a junior at KU this upcoming season. Shelby saw action in 30 games, making one start at Rice in 2023-24 where he averaged 3.9 points and 1.0 rebounds for the season. He scored in double figures three times and posted career highs with 14 points and four assists versus St. Thomas (11/7). He would later match the assists mark against SMU (2/7).

In 2022-23, Shelby played his freshman season at Vanderbilt, competing in 14 games and averaging 9.0 minutes and 3.7 points per contest. He scored in double figures twice with 12 points against Southeastern Louisiana and Tennessee. Shelby played prep basketball at Greenhill School in Dallas where he averaged 22.7 points in 2021-22 and was ranked nationally as the No. 14 point guard by Rivals and the No. 17 point guard by 247Sports.
